Default W/E Shock Axe Help

Hey,
I recently took my warrior through the 3 main campaigns (not EoTN because i haven't bought it yet), and I wanted to try some PvP, so I went on PvX and got the shock axe build, and tried it out in RA for a while yesterday, and it went horribly. I was getting killed within minutes of the start of the match, so basically, I am wondering if the build still works, or if its just me being bad at (and new to) PvP. Any suggestions for easier or more effective builds and on how I can get better at PvP would be much appreciated.
Thanks!!

It still works in GvG, but in RA the only warrior bar that is effective is one with 3-4 knockdowns. Aka Hammer warriors.
Otherwise warriors are currently outclassed by dervishes
Without a decent monk you will die within seconds on any class usually.

That is standard practice in RA. Even if you're bringing the freshest, most OP meta build, you can die within minutes. Success usually depends on your team composition which is completely random, to make matters worse depending on what time you're playing, you may meet synchronized teams which will have perfect/near-perfect composition.

Warriors have a very strong damage output and with easy access to deep wound, they are particularly lethal. This is balanced by the fact that warriors are the easiest class to shut down and mitigate their damage (blind, blurred, snares, kiting). Being effective as a warrior is not just about your own play, you have to have support from your team. Players in RA are far less likely to be team-play oriented and actually give a warrior support and that even presumes that your randomly generated team even has the composition necessary to give support.

RA is RA.

axe warriors are very rewarding when played right. I made all my fame/champ pts/ glad points with axe warrior. It is a lot of fun to play. In RA it can hard sometimes with lots of melee hate but , its down to you as axe war to shut them down first b4 u start pushing dmg. (you would have shock + dchop) -just land them intelligently - That takes practice.

When I last played nearly every top warrior was hitting frenzy on recharge. It lasts 8 secs so use all 8 before you hit it again; you end up saving energy and I think can fit in an extra 5 energy skill than normal.

Also Shock Axe RA is extremely difficult. A single enfeeble or empathy (OR BOTH ) can seriously hamper your damage output.

Well, thats why you use a zealous axe. Use frenzy whenever you feel safe

Thumbs up

i think yal are misunderstanding something like frenzy -> rush -> frenzy vs. you have the next 16 secs to be permafrenzy because you can do so now; so hit it twice and not 3 or 4 times. w/e yal are retarded.

I still play Prage even after the last nerf all the time and have good success. Its all about pumping dmg and d-chopping the blinds, heals, and of course... empathy. Use shock for a good KD and bulls strike the kiters..make them run or the build wont work to its maximum potential.

Prage is only one elite in shock/axe. Try eviscerate for pumping dmg and whirling axe for monks with stances. Just remember there are a lot of casters in RA and its all melee hate. Playing melee does require some brains and make sure you're equipment is right for pvp..just keep trying

Hurt the midline without shields. Most monks dont use guardian on midline. If ele is bsurging u, gain adrelin - shock - dchop bsurge as he gets up. Same goes to empathy/ insidious. Its very reasonably easy to dchop melee hate in RA. Once u dchop melee hate, go back to hurting midline w/o shields. Only go on monks if they aldready taking pressure or is not a Mo/W. It is a very rewarding build when played right.
